Melina Kanakaredes is an American television and film actress and is also known as the Daytime Emmy Award nominated actress. She started her acting career in 1991 and from that time till now she had performed in a number of films and television series but she is mostly known for her role in CSI: NY and the role which she played was Stella Bonasera who was a detective and apart from this she is also known for the role Dr. Sydney Hansen which she played in Providence.
Melina Kanakaredes was born on 23rd of April in 1967 in Akron in Ohio. She is the daughter of Constance “Connie” Temo and Harry Kanakaredes. Her father was an insurance salesman whereas her mother was a candy company owner. She had two sisters named Cornelia “Lia” and Aretta Kanakaredes. From a very young age, she was very much in love with acting and due to this at the age of 8 she made her debut with her performance in “Tom Sawyer”. But she did not leave her education, as she did her graduation in Theater Arts in 1989.
After that, her struggling period started for 3 years and in 1991, she finally got her first role in the television series “The Guiding Light”. It was her first step towards the professional acting career and after that she portrayed many roles and all were appreciated by the audience.
On 6th of September 1992, Melina Kanakaredes got married to Peter Constantinides who is a former restaurant consultant and together they are living a happily married life and had two daughters Zoe and Karina Eleni.
